True range (TR) = max(high − low, |high − previous close|, |low − previous close|) of the evaluated candle. Prior ATR(14) is Wilder ATR computed only from candles that closed before it, so the evaluated candle never enters its own denominator. Expansion = TR ÷ prior ATR: 3× means this candle covered three times the contract's recent typical range.
Ranking requires the exact newest completed candle, a valid previous close and at least 120 contiguous complete candles before it. Gaps reset the baseline; a flat (zero) prior ATR, stale, partial or invalid candles leave the row unranked with the reason shown. Ties keep alphabetical order.
This is recorded range expansion, not a directional or continuation forecast: a large candle can reverse or keep going. Up to 50 reference perpetuals, one per coin, selected by prior completed 24h quote volume. Source: stored exchange public-feed candles, in each contract's quoted price units. Refreshed every two minutes and at each candle boundary.
