How it is computed. USDT per executed trade = total quote volume ÷ total executed trades over the same valid minutes, so busy minutes weigh more (not an average of per-minute averages). Trades per observed minute = executed trades ÷ minutes with a valid count. A window or period with no trades has a count and rate of zero and no average size.
What a trade is. Each trade is one exchange print: a taker order that fills against several resting orders prints several trades. So this is not order size, a count of unique orders or traders, whale size, or a buy versus sell split. Binance minute bars carry only the total count, so side-specific counts and individual orders cannot be reconstructed from them.
Coverage. Missing minutes, and minutes whose count is missing or invalid, are left out and never counted as zero; a minute with volume but zero trades is invalid. (partial) marks a window or period with fewer valid minutes than expected: its count covers only the observed minutes, and the rate is per observed minute.
