A USD-only decline with unchanged coin OI is not a contraction.
An observed open-interest reduction is not liquidation volume, capital outflow or proof of forced selling. Voluntary closes and contract changes can also reduce OI. USD valuation can change with prices. Missing or incomplete endpoints can hide larger reductions.
