Archive coverage. Bounded to the last ten years, from 25 Oct 2016 through 24 Oct 2026 (the previous completed UTC day). Actual archived beginning: 1 Jan 2019; first eligible 200-day run began: 30 Sep 2021 (first SMA200: 17 Apr 2022); archived end: 24 Oct 2026. Latest qualified daily close: 24 Oct 2026. 20 missing or incomplete days from the archived beginning through the cutoff.

Source. Archived Binance spot hourly candles for BTCUSDT, aggregated to UTC days. A daily close uses the 23:00 candle only when all 24 distinct closed hours have finite positive closes. Prices and averages are in USDT. This archive can begin later and contain different gaps than the parent's daily API series, which can extend to 2017.

Method. A golden cross occurs when the 50-day SMA moves above the 200-day SMA; a death cross is the reverse. Equality retains the previous side. Missing days reset both averages and require a fresh 200-day warmup; the first side after warmup is not a crossing.

Subsequent observations. Each percentage compares the signal-day close with the close exactly 7 or 30 calendar days later. Every intervening daily close must be present. “Not yet observed” means the endpoint is after the completed-day cutoff; “history gap” means a required day is missing. These are observed price changes, not strategy returns, execution prices, success probabilities or evidence that a cross caused a move. No fees or leverage are modelled. Past observations are not forecasts.
