How it's counted. Each row sums the actual Binance SOLUSDT settlement payments stored for one UTC calendar month, a payment belonging to the month whose start (exclusive) and end (inclusive) contain its settlement time. Binance stamps a nominal midnight payment one millisecond late, so that payment is counted in the month it opens. The rate is the exchange's native rate for each interval; payments are added, not compounded, with no leverage, and the cash figure applies the total to a constant $10,000 position. Positive net: longs paid shorts. Negative net: shorts paid longs. Zero: no net payer.
Coverage. Hours stored are the union of the stored settlement intervals clipped to the month, measured against the hours in the month (or so far, for the current month). Gaps are never filled, overlapping or jittering intervals are never counted twice, and neither the number of settlements nor the backfill marker is taken as proof of completeness. Negative share divides the hours funded at a negative rate by the hours stored; where overlapping intervals disagree on sign it is shown as unqualified. Months rank only when complete with at least 99% of their hours stored; the current month, the month history begins in and incomplete months show their observed payments but never rank.

How is a month's funding calculated?
It is the sum of the Binance settlement payments stored for that UTC calendar month, each at the rate the exchange actually paid for its interval. Payments are not compounded and no leverage is applied; the cash figure is that percentage of a constant $10,000 position.
Why is a month not ranked?
A month ranks only when it is complete and at least 99% of its hours are covered by stored settlement intervals. The current month, the month history starts in and months with missing settlements are shown with the payments observed but never ranked.
Is this the return of holding the perpetual?
No. These are funding cash flows only. Price change, trading fees and any margin interest are not included.
