Choosing a liquidation heatmap: tools and free access
Start with the market and question you want to study. This dated comparison separates modelled liquidation zones from position-based maps; it does not rank accuracy or declare a universal winner.
Six tools: documented scope and access
These are provider documentation claims checked on , not an audit of model accuracy. “Not verified” means the source did not establish the detail; it does not mean a feature is absent or paid. Venue listings elsewhere on a site do not establish heatmap coverage. Swolecharts is included as the publisher's own tool.
On a narrow screen, focus the table area and use Left/Right arrow keys to scroll to sources.
| Tool | Data basis | Documented scope | Confirmed free access | Source / checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Swolecharts | Open-interest-change model; separate tracked-wallet Hyperliquid map | Model combines tracked venues including Binance, Bybit and Hyperliquid; wallet map is Hyperliquid only | Free, no login; estimated windows 12h–30d, limited to recorded history | Swolecharts source |
| CoinGlass | Market-data and leverage-based estimates | BTC/ETH in non-Prime; heatmap venue list not verified from this source | Non-Prime BTC/ETH: 6- and 12-month views, manual refresh; Prime expands access. Login requirements not verified | CoinGlass source |
| CoinAnk | Liquidation Heatmap advertised; calculation basis not verified | Not verified | Not verified | CoinAnk source |
| Hyblock | Market data and assumed leverage; estimates openings, not closings | Docs list Binance Futures BTCUSDT/ETHUSDT, BitMEX XBTUSD/ETHUSD, Bybit BTCUSD/ETHUSD | Not verified | Hyblock source |
| Hyperdash | Position-based Liquidations widget | Hyperliquid; guide demonstrates SP500 and discusses BTC | Not verified | Hyperdash source |
| Kingfisher | Model-based liquidation estimates | Bitcoin LiqMap documented; full heatmap venue scope not verified | Not verified | Kingfisher source |
Free-access selection checklist
- Data basis. Choose a CEX estimate or tracked Hyperliquid positions. A bright band is neither a resting order nor a promise that price will visit it.
- Supported instrument. Check the exact venue, contract and collateral type. A BTC aggregate is not automatically a map for your exchange's BTC perpetual.
- Source freshness. Read the snapshot timestamp and wallet polling age. A recent page load does not prove the underlying positions are current.
- Access limits. Open your intended market before committing: check login, refresh, model and export limits. Public documentation alone does not confirm free chart access.
- Historical window. Check the selectable lookback and how much history is actually recorded. A current position map and a historical heatmap answer different questions.
Try both data bases on BTC
Open the free BTC estimated heatmap for modelled zones across tracked venues, or the free BTC tracked Hyperliquid map for public position levels. Neither needs an account. Compare their scope before comparing their bars: different totals do not prove one tool is wrong.
Our Hyperliquid map covers tracked wallets, not every wallet. Liquidation prices can change as margin, other positions, funding or position size change; a stale snapshot can retain a level that has disappeared. Read the map's coverage and polling ages, the coverage page and our estimated-heatmap methodology. For interpretation and the distinction from order-book liquidity, see how liquidation heatmaps work.
What about TradingView?
TradingView documents native Stock, ETF and Crypto Coins heatmaps for market size and performance comparisons. Those tiles serve a different purpose from price-level liquidation zones. Liquidation products and community scripts used with TradingView need individual checks of their data sources, assumptions, coverage and access. This comparison does not evaluate every community indicator.
FAQ
What is the best free liquidation heatmap?
There is no universal winner. Match the instrument, data basis, freshness and historical window to your question. Swolecharts offers free estimated heatmaps and tracked Hyperliquid maps; other providers' unconfirmed access is marked not verified in the table.
Are liquidation heatmaps exact liquidation prices?
CEX heatmaps model potential levels. A tracked Hyperliquid map reads public position liquidation prices, but covers only the wallets tracked and the latest available snapshots. Margin changes, other positions, funding and position reductions can move or remove levels.
Is TradingView's Crypto Coins Heatmap a liquidation heatmap?
The native Crypto Coins Heatmap compares market metrics such as price performance and market size. Liquidation tools and community scripts are separate products; check each one's source, assumptions, coverage and access conditions.
