Liquidation History Heatmap

Stored futures liquidations for the top 30 coins of the range, one row per coin and one column per hour (7 days) or UTC day (30 days, 1 year). Brighter cells mean more liquidated, on a log scale, so a flush stands out without hiding the quieter coins.

Over the last 7 days, the top 30 coins had $64.8M of short liquidations (25,173 orders); QNT led with $19.7M (30%). The heaviest hour was Sep 28, 12:00 UTC with $13.2M across these coins. The biggest single cell: QNT on Sep 27, 22:00 UTC, $7.0M.

Coverage

how complete each exchange's numbers are

Read the colours as relative. Binance and Bitget send sampled feeds (at most one liquidation per symbol per second), so their share is a lower bound during cascades. Hyperliquid is absent: it has no public all-market liquidation feed. Not collected: Hyperliquid, MEXC, KuCoin. Coins are grouped by ticker across exchanges; sizes are quantity × fill price in US dollars.

How to read it. Rows are the 30 coins with the most liquidated USD in the range, biggest first; columns are UTC hours (7 days) or UTC days (30 days, 1 year), and the rightmost column is still filling. Colour is on a log scale from the smallest to the largest cell. For daily totals by exchange, see the liquidation history; each coin links to its own liquidation page. Refreshed every minute (7 days) or ten minutes (30 days, 1 year). Not financial advice.

Liquidation heatmap FAQ

What does this heatmap show?

Each row is a coin and each column an hour (7 days) or a UTC day (30 days, 1 year). A cell's colour is the dollar value (or the number of orders) of that coin's futures positions force-closed in that period, added up over every exchange this site records. The 30 coins with the most liquidated USD in the range are shown, biggest first.

Why a log scale?

Liquidations are extremely uneven: one cascade can be a thousand times a quiet hour. On a linear scale a single cell would be bright and everything else dark. On a log scale every step in colour is the same multiple, so both the flush and the normal background stay visible.

Is every liquidation counted?

No, so read the colours as relative. Binance and Bitget publish sampled liquidation feeds (at most one per symbol and second, the largest), so their totals are a lower bound during cascades. Other feeds: Bybit: Every liquidation (allLiquidation stream); Gate: Every liquidation on USDT perps (futures.public_liquidates, batched each second); HTX: Every liquidation on USDT swaps (public liquidation_orders stream); Aster: Crypto perps (stocks excluded): OI every 60s (top 60) or 5 min, funding every 60s. Hyperliquid is not included: it has no public all-market liquidation feed.

What do long and short mean here?

A long liquidation closes a position that bet on a rise, after the price fell; a short liquidation closes a bet on a fall, after the price rose. Pick one side to see which coins were flushed by a drop and which were squeezed by a rally.
